All vaccines work, the national chief medical officer said at an online press conference on Monday by the operative board responsible for controlling the coronavirus epidemic.

Cecília Müller said that researchers and manufacturers are starting to develop a vaccine according to their own hypothesis and practice. At present, all types of vaccines appear to be effective against the coronavirus, she added.

She said that several vaccine shipments will arrive this week. Pfizer will provide enough vaccine to vaccinate 36,270 people, and Moderna has promised enough for another 9,000 people by Sunday.

The Chief Medical Officer emphasized that due to the consistent measures and the law-abiding behavior of the citizens, the Hungarian epidemiological data are developing favorably, but she drew attention to the fact that the third wave has started in several neighboring countries and that mutant viruses are also a problem.
